AT&T Model 1337 Digital Answering Machine
« on: April 08, 2006, 10:51:15 AM »

Found this laying around and figured it'd be a nice addition to the site.

Front

Back (overheated battery caused a bit of scorching, not sure if its evident in the pic)

Side

Top

Bottom

This plate holds the bottom of the answering machine together. It was glued down, and had to be forced a little.

Remove these four screws, and gently lift the top of the board to gain access to the screw underneath it

Aformentioned screw

There are two more screws underneath the black plastic

Back Plate

Guts and Buttons

Front Plate

Tada!

Awesome job Peter! Just think i should mention... that screwdriver you use is the same one we do, the Torx it has are somewhat hard to find, and the magetize and demagnetize ability is a nice feature. I also like the last shot, done in true TIA fashion. One more thing... nice signature.

Taking apart electronics has always been very interesting to me, as a child. I was always curious to see how these everyday objects looked on the inside, and taking certain ones apart was always a daunting task

Thanks, and I fixed the second to last pic's label.

Expect more to come when I find my old cell phone.
