Even I saw your site on BBC Click! Its a wonderful one. Keep up the awesome work guys! Im in college too and know how it is not having enuf funds to keep up a really good site. When I get my hands on some dough, I’ll surely spare some for TakeItApart dot Net !

Another too look at is hackaday.com and instructables.com. They got a lot of Electronic adventures.

Wonderful idea. Have been taking things apart since (at least) age six, and that’s around sixty years ago (when there wasn’t a lot to take apart!). But you miss one essential feature in your strategy. Taking stuff apart is to learn how things are made, what went wrong and then to fix it, where possible - or, at very least, redploy the pile of spares instead of sending them to landfill. Even plastics can be repaired, these days, so there’s no excuse. Accept damaged goods, disassemble, fix ‘em and send ‘em back out for further useful service.
