Great post. Pedometer is very good device for diabete patients as well. ( Or any patients that requires exercising). It's a good gauge. I used it for slimming down purposes too. It's a great help.

Hello, I am going to make a pedometer myself - buy all components and so on, can you help me with it, I can't find schemes how it's made. All I know is that there are accelerometer, microcontroller.. Maybe you have anythig useful for me, share information if you can. Thank you.

I have come to some health problems lately: diabetes, operation (actually done in the mid-90s) but still affects me. I also have "tremendously" high blood pressure (unmeasurable) as it usually comes back. My doctor wants me on a statin but I have heard too many bad things about the liver and statins; so I prefer to not go that way. With all of this I have decided to try and walk my problems off.

Whick now brings me to the three pedometers that I have been given and one that I bought. However I think they are kinda cheapy and also don't have all the things I would like to have if I am going to turn into a walking weeble. One thing that you probably know id that walking --for very long distances--over 5 miles can get pretty boring as I've found out. I have portable CD players but I think they are too cumbersome for that long and haven't gotten into the i-pod's yet as I'm not sure of what, how much, what brand etc. I want to go with.

So I am trying to keep things as simple but still have music and a voice to announce how far I have been (hopefully without having to look down all of the time). I have looked at numerous sites and maybe I am looking for something that doesn't exist, but, I thought I would give writing you an E-Mail a try first. If you would like to call my number is 812 476-555 or if you have a phone number and wouldn't mind giving it out maybe I could talk to you about it. Or writing ala this syle is fine too. Sincerely, randy d petty P.S. Sorry to be soooo lenthy.
