This papertape calculator is a standard disassembly, not too many hidden screws, but this was something we havent seen yet on the site so it was important to us to take it apart. Plus, any chance we get to see something new, we take!
So lets start out like many other guides before this one and flip the device over.
You should immediately notice the screws on the ack near the top, but there are a few more a little more well hidden.
When you take off the battery cover, (and take out th batteries, of course) you will notice a few more screws.
Take em out!
Now the back cover should come off without a problem, revealing the guts of this fusion of calculator and printing technology.
Now, unscrew the screws holding the ribbon in place.
Yup, you guessed it, now take the ribbon off!
You should now be able to remove the PCB and motor mechanism. If not, find and remove any other screws.
Now, you might need to access the keys, so unscrew all of the screws holding the brace in place, there are a few, so look well.
(Hint: one is hiding under the ribbon cable, as shown above)
Now, if you remove the brace you can see the key sensors, and a few other layers important for the proper function of the keys.
You can pop the LCD screen out now if you want to.
Nice. Another disassembly completed without any broken parts, lets just hope there arent any extra pieces once i put it back together.

Looks really simple compared to other devices on here.
Also, I want to compliment you on your site. Ever since I took my X-Box apart to clean the laser and get some dust out of the system, I’ve wanted to take almost all of my electronics apart. The problem is that I was going to throw my X-Box away if that didn’t work anyway. So, I had nothing to lose. I actually need all my other electronics, heh. This site sort of … temporarily cures my craving for taking electronics apart. Keyword: Temporarily. Thanks for this site.
Wow. Too simple in comparison with my thoughts!
Hey, great site!
