Zippo Lighter

A simple “Zippo” lighter. Easy to disassemble.

Open it.

Slide out Lighter from shell.

Unscrew and remove flint holder.

Remove the fluff, and if you don’t mind putting it back in, remove the wick.

See, I told you it was easy!

Pedometer

A pedometer. For those of you who dont know, this is a device that measures steps taken, with a little sensor inside that bounces as you take each step. It can also be used as a tool for entertainment if you can sit in one place for an hour and shake it repeatedly.

Onward, my army of disassemblers!

Hey, guess what! Flip it over. Remove screws.

Take out batteries.

NOTE: This (screw targeted above) is not a removeable screw! Don’t try. What it is, is a calibrator for the sensors inside. You can try and get it out, but… you wont. And you’ll ruin the pedometer in the process, which means you will have to count your steps the old fashioned way. By not walking at all. Like me. Anyway…

Take off the cover, and you will see the inside. If you’re a frequenter to this site, ths wont be anything new. Wait, yes, it is!

Remove the screw holding the PCB in place, then get the PCB out of there by lifting it along with the screen.

Also remove the smaller PCB now, and remove any screws holding it in place.

LIFT!

This is where it gets interesting (if you’re REALLY bored). You will see the step sensor inside. It looks like a big swingin’ hammer. Sadly, it isn’t. I don’t recommend taking this out, however, as the spring inside is not terribly easy to put back into place.

Also take any final screws out, and take the rest of that stuff out of there, not too hard.

If you use the screwdriver to remove the screws on the screen, you can remove the screen… Magic!

There you go! Wait! Don’t forget the buttons!

Ok, now you’re done.
