I just retired my AT&T 1337 answering machine today, after over 14 years of use. Nice to see some information about it on the web. It was still working up until today, although recently the built-in microphone for recording the greeting stopped working properly. The last outgoing message I recorded was very distorted and low in volume. Thanks for putting this page on the web.

I have one of these that has been going strong for about 16 years. Just amazing as I think this was one of the first tapeless machines on the market. I wish all electronics were this reliable. Thanks

Ha, that's great!. I have this exact same answering machine. Suckers old and the volume only works turned all the way up, which is VERY loud. I think I'll take it apart now.
